With how common various spell and ability graphics are in games, it’s easy to just note their presence and go on rather than stop to apprechiate how simple and yet beautiful and effective some of them are. Less is defenately sometimes more, and Blizzard’s own shiny little lines and cylinders moving about are – in my mind – significantly better than the no less than three sum lens effects I poked 3D studio into providing for me to represent magic. I’ll have to work on that.
I’d also like to mention that there’s some slight reshuffling of image positions and meddling a bit with the post history – now up to a grand total of six pages (woo-hoo! Incredible! well done! etcetera), it started seeming a little clunky not to have an easy way to browse between posts from first to last and vice versa. The theme I’m using on WordPress – the only one I found that could accomodate both the top banner and the massive image width – isn’t really very accomodating about how I chose to handle this, so there’s a few patch fixes present in places to get around that. While it might be technically possible to solve through inventing a new theme and/or significant CSS editing, I possess neither of those vital skills so it’s simply something I’ll have to live with for now.
