Foreshadowing, I has it.

So we’re both finally getting out of Blackfathom Deeps, as well as finally moving on from chapter one. Though the point of moving on from chapter one to chapter two was decided very early on, the the sneaky foreshadowing manner of doing it wasn’t – it was suggested to me after I couldn’t quite make the dialogue make sense myself. It serves multiple purposes – both letting our characters be themselves as well as reinforcing a few things I’ve already tried to suggest but might’ve been a little too subtle with. (It’s really hard to tell sometimes!)

Chapter two is also the first point where I’ve been able to implement some of the graphical upgrades I’ve been toying with during the previous week – there’s specular mapping involved, there’s some feigned overexposure in places.. Trying to make it just visible enough without going overkill, which’s a tough limit to find.
