Okay, yes, I admit, I went totally overboard with the pyrotechnics. Visuals often need to be overstated to be effective, and in this case, a huge bright fireball is a whole lot more effective than some meager dust cloud. The effect is.. overplaying the result, somewhat, but we’ll sort out the differences in the coming pages. Still, what better way to welcome the new year than with a massive explosion?
The presence of explosives is a little.. fudgery. They were always intended to be there, but at first I figured the camera angles would hide them.. and then last page realized they wouldn’t and conveniently snuck them in while trying not to be too obvious about them suddenly materializing. It was also initially intended for there to be a whole lot more of them.
