So my computer’s back up and running; I was actually hoping to have this ready by sunday already – I had a new AC adapter in time for it, but I just couldn’t get the words together; they were just spinning around my head. So, it took until now. On a plus note, it hopefully means this and the two pages immediately following will all flow together a bit better, since I ended up extending my ideas to encompass all three.

I see one of three things happening here:
1) Cookie really just wants to cook for the crew, and doesn’t want them to leave so he can cook for them.
2) Cookie wants for make Areen his bride; very possibly give her the powers of Aquaman.
3) Cookie wants to cook a Gnoducken.
I’m hoping for #1, so they can take him with them and hook him up with the Darkmoon Faire.

I really appreciate all the hard work and though that is put into this comic. Its been a great read so far. I would say it out does Flintlocke vs. The Horde.
It’s always flattering to be held up next to the big, heavy names (not to mention above them!); I’m well aware my own fanbase (as such) isn’t nearly as numerous, not to mention there being several differences by design that throw a fair amount of people off.
Still, it’s a good sign it’s finding a target audience ;)
It’s interesting that on this page, Hani’s sword is leaning against the crate, but also seems to still be stuck up on the upper level where it lodged during the fight.
Unless, I suppose, VanCleef pulled her sword out back on page 222, and that metal-looking object on the beam is just the cut left behind from the blade. It’s kind of hard to tell.
It’s her sword he picks up (since his fell over the edge); you can even sort of see the blade part of it laying next to him in #223. The implication is that enough time passed between #227 and #228 for them to retrieve that along with Areen’s shield.
So the light spot is just the cut – it actually ended up brighter than I expected, but that’s it. I actually took quite a bit of care in making sure there was a cut there at the time, just to give a sense of just how much force had gone into that strike.
Well, even though I misinterpreted it for the last six pages, I appreciate that level of attention to detail and continuity. :)
Aww, Cookie’s actually cute isn’t he? He wants to be a friend, the poor little sap. Can’t blame him, though, since they can all turn him into fish food if he starts attacking them.
