It struck me fairly early on that due to Hani’s character design very much being what it is in order to make her more visible and able to stand out in a crowd, the idea that she’d be able to walk around Kalimdor unnoticed as-is seemed just a tad far-fetched; enough so that it struck me that even she would have to realize that. So I needed to have an outfit variant for her that was very clearly her – and very clearly something she’d come up with on her own – but at the same time it had to be obscuring enough for it to make at least some sense how she’d be able to pass a casual glance without being noticed.
Of course, due to the nature of most equipment design in World of Warcraft, most hood designs tend to be either overdesigned or look instantly suspicious; especially in the case of characters that are wearing them for the very clear and specific reason of avoiding identification or notice.
Other than that, I’ll see you over in 2012.

Hani is smart x3
Almost..
Black Hood = Bad guy most of the time.
Now if she were to dye it to the same type of brown, that her shirt or trousers are.
Then she’ll become a bit more forgettable, as it would just make it appear that she was a returning NE Hunter or something like that. The whole camouflage thing in foreign lands.
:P
Brown is significantly more of a Hani colour, though.
Also, it’s a bit of a cultural thing.
Hah! I KNEW that wolf companion noticed the duo with Tee in the backpack!
Oh, and that cloak so reminds me of a certain Jedi Master, or sage… ;)
The new vote picture is awesome too. :)
The primary inspiration that settled its look was actually the dark gray cloak, cape and cowl that Ezio Auditore dons during the visit to Cappadocia in Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. The way it had a cloak, and a cape, and a hood all combined together that looked very simple and yet functional just stuck out to me, so I endeavoured try something along those lines for overall look and feel.
I sense an incoming Raene.
Also, have a happy new year!
I think my smile from the last panel stuck to my face :) It is Raene, isn’t it?
I love Dagri’s expression: Areen is getting the /eyebrow
*excited to see Raene!*
…Having lived near Elwynn, I can’t blame her reaction though >.>
Roll for initiative! ROLL FOR INITIATIVE!
Silly Rei; much like the Inverse Law of Bikini Armour, people are more incognito the more auspicious the dress, provided that they are main charactors.
I would say the more imminent concern is someone seeing Tiny. She is pretty small, but also the only midgetised elf in existence. Unmistakability and all.
Also love the wolf’s tilted o_O face. That made me smile.
The tilted head look the wolf is giving Areen cracks me up.
Is it just me, or is that wolf giving Areen the evil eye?
Best wishes !
Haha the look on that wolf’s face xD
Confused wolf is confused.
Also, WoW equipment and elf ears strike again.
I actually specifically made holes for them. And added a specific morph to the eyebrows so they wouldn’t poke through.
/hungry
Wolf is hungry. Maybe Areen has some food…
The wolf’s look is cute.
