Well, okay, replying to a comment from you right now and about to refill my coffee cup, but you get the picture.
It’ll actually be a cross-over/spin-off from one of the other characters in Tales since Tokkar’s story has ended, but I think everyone will really enjoy what I’m planning.
Here’s a hint though…it’s a dramatic comic, not a four-panels-and-laugh, and it involves a blood elf, a draenei, a human, a gnome and…and I’ll leave it at that for now :-)
To be perfectly honest, Tokkar – what I found compelling about Tales was that while it for most part shared the Joke of the Random Time Interval setup that most World of Warcraft webcomics run with, the jokes often came out of the characters and their world, rather than the disconnect between game and reality. As it progressed, it struck me as becoming more about those characters and less about the need to set up a punchline, which I found welcome. So if you’re heading for an even greater character focus then it’s all thumbs up on my end, really.
The main thing I do wish you’d shed is this incessant urge of yours to prefer the “leveling greens” look over proper visual character design :p

I just announce that I have a new comic in the works and my graphics card decides to roast itself.
I just can’t catch a break. Well, model viewer still works, I just can’t do anything that’s OpenGL, so backgrounds are out. That not only includes going in-game and doing screen-shots, but even using mapviewer on an older (3.3.5a) installation. Sigh…no money for a new card, but I do have an older machine that I MIGHT be able to resurrect. No promises, though.
Hmm…worst-case scenario? I draw free-hand. Might be interesting. We’ll see.

Great news – computer is working fine now! It was just running way too hot. I removed the cover and cleaned out all of the intake vents – no problems now! And yes, I’ll shed the leveling greens :-)

I just read your posts about Model Viewer. Have you considered giving Malu05′s WoW Machinima Tool a try? I know Zimtower has come out and stated MapViewer is dead and is referring folks to WMT.

Just out of curiosity, what would be Hani’s punishment if she were captured?
Didn’t Tyrande (when she forced Hani and Rei into exile) say she (Hani) would be imprisoned if the archdruid had his way? I thought that was what should have happened, except she (Tyrande) felt it was better to send Hani away. It does seem a bit harsh though…
I cannot imagine that humorless, pompous druid being satisfied with anything that wasn’t more than a bit harsh. Ah, that punch was so satisfying.
If she’s lucky, she’d just be tossed out again, possibly in a different direction. If she’s not, they’d probably lock her up somewhere for awhile. The thing is, even if you disregard the political situation with Staghelm, the problem remains that Hani has these triggers that can set her off, often with the result of other people getting hurt. Until she manages to gather some semblance of control over those impulses, she can’t really function in society and thus kind of needs to be kept separate from it.
And for Night Elves, “a while” with regard to imprisonment is a pretty serious amount of time.
