Beyond the Tree is based on (when not directly using) the art resources and story setting of World of Warcraft by Blizzard Entertainment.

That look on Areen in the last panel is so dang good!
Her face! *Uncontrolable laughing* A giant living tree perhaps?
perfect face is perfect o.O
Yes Areen this is the point where you may want to question your own sanity but that is indeed a living talking tree and all logic has been effectively chucked out the window….
That last panel is priceless! I also like how Dagri keeps looking at Areen like “What’s up with her?”
To me he looks like he’s thinking “would this be the best time for a kiss?”
If you go on like this with Areen i am going to fell in love with her.
If it hasn’t already happened.
………
That last panel right there?
That’s the ‘Shit just got real’ moment for the cliff-hanger last episode of season 1 of Wolf and Gnome.
…I like Dryads … :(
Although… not sure I’d be walking -directly behind- Raine there, Te’len old chum. Maybe off to the side. A little bit.
Is Dagri going to eat Areen?
Are we all falling in love with Areen?
Do we not love the angle on Reane in panel 2?
And I think we all know how a Gnome looks like when they see Onu for the first time…
Hello, foreshadowing, good to see you again
No comments on artist’s side?
Also i had a dream last night, and among many other nonsense stuff i saw, Nhani was explaining us in such a bottom-of-the-panel comment that she was quitting the Beyond. That was a nightmare obviously, and i woke up sweating, and couldnt sleep back one or two hours. You know, i have been reading these series since it was first mentioned in Wow-europe.com’s community recap a lot of years ago, and i have been a loyal reader ever since.
Please tell me you wont quit doing this so soon. Too soon.
My commentary tends to be the lowest priority element of any page and usually something I’ll come up with the basis for as I put the page itself together. In the cases where that doesn’t actually happen, there are limits to how long I’ll sit staring at the text field before deciding it’s better to hit post than holding it off any longer.
Considering how the closest I had to coherent thoughts at the time was some largely unintelligible ramble about two games I really look forward to playing along with a declaration of my affection for the MWO:Mercs redesign of the Catapult, you were probably better off with no commentary at all.
As for Beyond the Tree, by my best guesstimates, we’re probably looking at around 30 to 50 pages more of Arc One at most; it may grow larger than that still, but I tried to be pretty generous in my assumptions. After that, we’ll see – I haven’t quite made a decision on whether to keep going into Arc Two yet, especially since there’s still a few gaps in the overall series of events that I first need to figure out how to bridge before Arc Two could be considered a functional story arc.
Thanks for the response.
Your art is like one of those that one can not simply accept that can end. I remember the first time how i read the Lord of the Rings series and found myself blaming why J.R.R. Tolkien did not write 15 more books for the series. My feelings are same in this case. I know it sounds selfish, which actually is. But still, i believe you would understand.
O_O
haha.. 3-4 words after by the light tht came to mind ” By the light…Im gonna be punted” XD haha
It’s not to hard to predict what baffels her. Actually like it that you keep in account that with Gnomes being smaller that things that are large a human, are gigantic to a Gnome.
However that leads to a gripe I have in WoW with Onu. Onu is one of the best known of the Ancients of Lore, yet he’s tiny. He’s in game tiny due to only being a quest npc originally. So, should he really be depicted as small as in game, or would he be at least on par with other ancients? My personal say would be yes. Then again most will not recognize him if he were depicted on normal Ancient size.
Your last parts are great… :) I like how Areen is gettig knowledge of elven lands… :) Btw. It would be great if you could make some sort of wallpaper connected with Love in the Air event :) With all our heroins… :D like thoes you made earlier Nhani…
Keep up the good work… :)
The look on Areen’s face… Absolutely priceless! To think that she’s never been around our parts and is totally culture shocked is just fantastic. ;)
