#122 – “Miner Aid”

This was one of those pages where I have a script done and ready.. but I knew the script is way too long to fit into a single page. I wasn’t wrong, and this particular page went through a great deal of trimming to cut the dialogue down to a more manageable size while losing as little as possible. The idea of it seems largely intact to me, so I’d like to think I succeeded.

Quests are kindof funny in the game – while I pause to read the first time around (provided there’s not a real hurry), much of the time they’re just clicked away without reading. The important parts are often the experience or the material rewards – even with quests where you’re obviously being strung along, the question of “should I be doing this or not?” never really comes around. With the cast, I’d like to think that whenever they agree to go somewhere or do something, they have a reason behind it.

so, soon we’ll see how Hani totally castrates VanCleef and Mr Smite without breaking a sweat. yay.

the gnome is absolutely GOLD, she’s been in, what, 4 strips now? or 5? anyway, I already like her more then any other character in this comic.

by the way, is it just me or did anyone else notice that since the gnome appeared, Hani has said three lines, or two since one of them was just ”Hmm”.

Areen is interesting character, but I’m hoping to hear more about her past (maybe in future comics =)). Although, the group could use a 5th member who is arrogant male instead of female so Tiny would have someone to mess with.

One thing I really enjoy with this comic is that they show level of progress without levels, if you know what I mean.

I’m liking this Gnome aswell with each passing Panel.
Allthough i personally think Hani shouldn’t proof herself more to Tyrande ( Hani wasted half the hostile groups that threatend Darnasus) the neverending quest allways appeals to me.
Cant wait for the enxt one, kudos!

Ps: Not that she needs it, but how about Hani gets a love intrest?

aaand she happened to slug the archdruid. it’s not so much proving Tyrande that she can kill stuff, but that she kills stuff for a right cause, in this case to help the church of light.

Ps: she does have one, it’s purple, lives in Darnassus and it’s name begins with T.

If this is eventually going where I think it’ll be eventually going..

Please. For the love of god, PLEASE let Hani have a proper amount of trouble with VanCleef and Mr. Smite. The fight with Smite can even have comedic value (cuz it does ingame), but at *least* VanCleef should put up a proper fight.

I mean come on. At least for the sake of mixing things up, we’re getting tired of seeing superwoman here solo the world.

Why is everyone overlooking that she did get in trouble in black fathom deeps, when she got bashed on the head by all those cultists and almost sacrificed to that hydra. She wasn’t super enough there in order to solo the lot.

I’ve been reading for a long time and all this comic ever does is get better Nhani :) Keep up the amazing work!

Why Tiny suddenly became so interesting in that idea?

I keep getting the impression that Tiny is the group’s rogue. Here we see her mediating common objectives and bringing the group together in clever ways.

I bet she has a really high stealth check.

After seeing this comic strip, my opinion on gnomes has changed! Areen is so adorable! Also the group finaly will go to do away with Van Cleef!
