#196 – “Drunk with Revelation”

Deadmines are really starting to drag as far as I’m concerned; I’d expected them to be longer than Blackfathom, but not quite.. well.. this long. There’s still some ways before we’re out, so a friend of mine suggested I alternate in some other scenes in places just to break it up a little and not stumble over Yet More Deadmines. We’ll get through the place yet, and I’m trying not to rush it, but this was a welcome alternative towards just another Group Walks Through Cavern scene.

In the least the Elwynn Rumor Mill still seems to be intact.

Lesson from Gorvar to you all

Never call your girlfriend or any other female person a ‘Wench’ if you ask them to give you a drink. If you do you’ll wake up the next day shaved bald, naked and in a gutter somewhere in South France.

Back to topic, it’s a awesome small detour from the main group and it does give sort of a consequence thing from the actions the party did earlier on. Kudos.

I don’t want this to sound wrong, but yes, this was a really good idea!
Storytelling can always benefit from multiple storylines, or mild ‘commercial breaks’,
and this was done with style. Very pleasant!

Go on, this is one of the few “blog / webcomics” worth reading!

    2 things.

    1) Congratulations, you captured the feeling of the Deadmines.

    2) When you get back to the main crew they should already be done with Gilnid. Because really, would anyone miss him?

She looks naked without her boomkin plushie.

Trip to Redridge after Deadmines? :D

I think these aside pages are a good idea, especially if they form a story thread that links up with the main group in some way.

I can’t help but see/hear the joke of “taking over the world” and then shift to M. Bison saying “Of course” when reading panel 6. xD

I couldn’t quite get “taking over the world” to fit in, so I had to settle for the roads. Still, yes, that “Of courshe!” is there solely to make the reference. Good to see people caught it!

        How did I miss that?!
Well it’s good to know our esteemed hostess knows her internet meme’s.
The only thing missing is a cloak, a general hat and a red vest….
        Yes M.Bison.

Oh, I like where you’re going with this, Germ.
Cut back to DM, the boat is nothing but flames and broken dreams of what could have been. Bodies litter the ground and the waterways. Te’len is decked out in full T4, Tiny is reloading her own little Ness4k, Areen has permanent ret wings. And Hani has new gloves and a stylish monocle.

Tiny: Really not how I thought that would go down.
    Hani: Word.
Te’len: Tauren just shouldn’t bend that way. I can never un-see that.

    Those two are awesome XD

I mean, how much better at comic relief can they get :) Their like husband and wife… who refer to each other as thieves and wenches…

    Still, love those two :)

*Duos glares at his empty bottle with a disappointed look on his face*

    Duos: Wench! Another glasshh!

*Dhappy throws an empty bottle in Duos’ face*

I’d give anything to see that happen! ;P

Oh, I just noticed one thing. The shirt and trousers Dhappy’s wearing must be the same models as the cloth quest items you get from the Bloodmyst Island quests, am I right? At least the shirt reminds me of Jessera’s Fungus Lined Tunic, and the trousers very much resembles Vindicator’s Woolies. If so, then I just hit a jackpot!

Yep, you’re right – it’s Jessera’s Fungus Lined Tunic. The belt is the very very rare “Teacher’s Sash” which is only obtainable from an alliance quest in Swamp of Sorrows, but the trousers I wear are the boe Aurora pants. I’m not sure if Vindicator’s Woollies are the same model.

Dhappy is a cameo appearance of my paladin Sapphidia (one of Nhani’s adopted daughters) and this casual look was a signature – mostly as it was so distinctive because the individual parts were so hard to obtain.

At least I got one right. I noticed after browsing for Aurora Pants on Thottbot that it’s not the same model as Vindicator’s Whoolies. The length, aswell as the stitches on the sides, is what seperates them. Other than that, the color almost match that of the Aurora Pants. I didn’t take much note about the belt, however. For me, a belt is a belt – at least the low-level ones.

Hay Nirene i think you forgot the one thing that is making this comic have an so hige standard and that is Nanhi is tweaking every model she is repetitively using.

Of all the characters in this comic, I like Duos the most.
Somehow he always cracks me up.
Another great page! Keep ’em coming ;)
