#208 – “Smite Blessed”

I liked the idea that the group actually don’t enter the Deadmines due to the Defias – they don’t even know the Defias are using it as their base at the time. They’re looking for a few missing dwarven miners, and only make it about the Defias once they decide that the Defias must be responsible for raising the dwarves to undeath.

Of course, part of it is also that the group never had to do any of this – they could’ve stopped after finding the dwarves; they continued because they felt compelled to, not because they were obligated to.

The official quote is ‘Yout there, check out that noise”. I thought I point that out.

Was hoping someone’d pick up on that! Of course, there’s a fairly simple and straightforward reason why it isn’t verbatim in this case. Still, since I tend to like sneaking small differences in, it’s good to see them noticed.

I’m just trying to see for myself that after they’r done with Mr.Smite, cookie, or Van Cleef will appear with his elite ninja guards, just moving in for the kill while they’r wounded/tired….great work on this page.

The first panel and the last, just amazing :) Keep up the good work :)

Hehe, Can’t wait to see how they deal with Smite. I’m still aching to see a VanCleef vs. heroines. It’d be interesting :D

First comment here. I actually read all the panels in one sitting and then got to the point where Hani sneaks into the captains cabin and was .. deflated .. I wanted more.

I personally really love the panels with basically no speech whatsoever, just the actions of the characters speaking their intent so the whole Hani sneaking in and out was awesome.

Now to see what is next for the gang. Hopefully some mass-pulls of all the Defias with short-stuff pally tanking hehe >.<

I think Mr. Smite is going to find out that these landlubbers are tougher than he thought. He’ll have to improvise!

I see what you did there…

Hopefully it won’t take too long to bring him down, else they’ll make him angry.

Once he realise they’re under attack, he’ll tell the swabs to repel the invaders…

This might be my testosterone filled mind rambling but…wouldn’t it be awesome if Nhani drew her sword, told her friends to go, fights off like two waves of Defias before she lits a light and throws it at a pile of gunpowder?
she then runs as fast as she can and jumps out of the mine screaming ‘Feniiiiiiiix!’

In short, never watch Demolition Man while reading web comics.

Anyways another good chapter as always and again as in more realistic situations your going to have people you didn’t kill find you and raise the alarm on the way out.

I love the comic Nahni (why are all the good WoW comics about the alliance?) and i was wondering, what armor item did you base Te’s robes off of? They seem rather….well, druidy XD

WoW, Eh? is pretty good. Not amazing, but at least it has original characters,(lol my undead rogue/warlock has no moral compass!! The Belf chick is hot! Creative!) and a story line. Plus Cadistra is oh so cute.

Prolly cause Horde players are too busy agreeing with each other about how much better Horde is.

Hah, well that’s one way of looking at it. xD

Let’s see.. WoW, Eh? has definitely picked up on the plot end as of late, and Kelly Aarons (the author) is also running a second comic off of Wow.com called Byron, the Tauren Rogue which also seems largely character focused. In addition, there’s Tales of the Crossroads which seems to be in the process of establishing a base of characters to build plot on, as well as a few base feelers of plot itself.

It all depends on the standing definition of “good” though; personally I tend to need a character focus and characters I can get engaged in – the many joke-of-the-week-type ones out there rarely do it for me. Of course, I’m far from an avid webcomic reader either.

I probably should put together a list of the ones I think are good enough; my list of links in the sidebar are long overdue a onceover. Just deciding what to or what not to link to is something I find rather difficult.

It’s based on Feralheart (the druid upgraded vanilla dungeon set). Ultimately, I needed a look that could look both druid-in-training and young woman at once, and it seemed my best option to get them both across.

Normally I prefer avoiding gear that’s class exclusive because people tend to have strong associations with it and see the items and class rather than the appearance, but I couldn’t come up with anything more fitting.

you know i think that part of the set looks wounderfull sadly one can only get them by doing an long dungen/quest chain… hate blizzard havent make the old worthlesss stuff easyer to get.

Hehe ‘Boat outfitters we’re here about your guns.’ Then off them while the corrections fly.
