#211 – “Knock knock”

Good improvisation. Ahem.

I really wasn’t sure what to do with Mr. Smite at first – as eventful and vocal as his encounter is (for a vanilla one, anyhow), it really doesn’t translate all that well into a more narrative form. Suddenly you have to either start trying to fudge reasonings as to why anyone’d actually let him run all the way for a weapon switch without making it seem contrived, or making into a straight up battle which seems like a good way of eliminating all the flavour that makes the encounter special. So in the end, I decided it was better to let him keep his flavour and simply pit him against Mr. Door instead.

Of course.. then Mr. Explosion took both of them by surprise..

“D’ah! This door is tougher than I thought. I’ll have to improvise!”

This absolutely made my day! I have not laughed so hard for quite some time! Thank you for this most amusing page. Absolutely love it!

I laughed too, but I hope the elves left.

A cannon going off? That close to elven ears? They’ll be ringing for years with ears that sensitive!

Anthropomorphisers of the world unite! We have nothing to lose but Mr. Dignity!

    Mr. Smite: Knock knock!

    Tiny: Who’s there?

    Mr. Smite: Hammer of Ju…*BOOOOOOOOOOM!*

Oh btw, nice jet of fire there – never knew a cannon ball could do that. =S

There’s quite a bit about this that… is discouraged by physics, but meh.

The cannon ball itself, no. The explosive reaction and expulsion of superheated gasses and fire, yes.

Tiny is too awesome to be cowed by something as trivial as physics. Through sheer will alone does she command the cannon to annihilate her enemies, regardless of how much any wayward laws of physics might object!

          This. Is. WARCRAFT!

Honestly though I think this page really made my day, then again something blowing up always makes my day, bit unstable that way….oh well.

Here’s a lil something for you lot who cant get enough of things going boom.

Prosser: Mr. Smite, the plans to demolish your doors have been on display at your local planning office for the last nine months!
Smite: “On displaye”?! I had to go to Ironforge!
        Prosser: That’s the Display Department!
        Smite: With a flashlight!
Prosser: The light has probably gone.
        Smite: So had the stairs.

The part with Skuld and Urd make me happier then probably reasonable. I need to watch that show one of these days.

Mr. Smite looks so much better then in-game! Well done on that!

About the explosion… well let’s say that if I hadn’t read it was an excplosion I’d have thought that was just lava or some… gelatin… thing.
