#259 – “The Complaints Department”

If the Assassin’s Creed series of games have taught me anything, it’s that guards who try to prevent people from wandering across rooftops rarely get to live all that long. Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood reduced their life expectancy even further by handing me a crossbow.

Silly guards.

Haha, yeah another thing Assasin creed taught me is rule 74 slice first ask question later, but this one was really funny.

Hani why are you a cartoon ?! I want you to marry me ! ;-D

not sure what it is Nhani, but somethign is up with Hani’s sword in this one. Particularly in panel 5.

But yeah Captain Cravenrest, i would request a transfer to the Ironforge Liason Office as well. Just do not accept duty at the exodar…the spacegoats are even taller.

Actually, I’m pretty sure Hani’s about as tall as a spacegoat. Not that he’d care about that… or anything besides finding a good pants supplier.

I think Hani is actually as tall as female spacegoat. Males are a bit taller.

This actually got me curious enough to find out, thus behold the result.

Hani’s generally a bit taller than the average, in-game Draenei women still, though ones with horns going straight up might be able to match or slightly pass her for height. She is however also a fair bit bigger overall besides just plain height. Draenei men, on the other hand, I’m quite sure would still beat her for both height, size and mass all, largely due to being humongous.

How much bigger is her model? 110% of the standard model?

110% yes, combined with that her limbs and shoulders have some extra definition added to that. It used to be only 105%, but then I ran the actual numbers against each other and found out that made her a fair bit shorter than I’d intended.

Hmm, yeah, that makes sense. Looks like i somehow need to get a 15% grow on my character, she’s around 230cm tall.

gah, clipping issues. I generally spot them, but occasionally I just stare myself blind and simply don’t notice. It’s an issue with the backpack not hovering entirely nicely where it is so occasionally it and the sword need adjusting not to intersect things. I adjusted her back for that shot, but apparently forgot to notice that the sword disagreed with this shift.

      My bad.

Given the number of roof related crimes in stormwind these days I can only assume Cravenrest long since stopped caring (or got his transfer).

As I expected! Rooftop complaints! See comment on earlier issue.

As for Cravenrest, I doubt he’d last long in that job. If there’s one thing that has a shorter life expectancy then guards investigating roof-top related crimes, its the mental sanity of a Stormwind City Guard. Only the hardiest(or inactive) last above a month. At least on the server where im at!

He should retire to Theramore, like I did, and enjoy the peace and quiet!

    I will not accuse.
    Accusations are the guard killer.
Accusations are the little death that bring total obliteration by an enraged Hani.

Seriously though, that’s one heck of a glare. Poor fellow.

Why can i imagine hani going suburb-gettho on him “Oh no! you just did’t tell me what’a do! Nahuh!”

As your a fan of WoW, have you tried Rift? Now that would make an awsome comic.

Now, THAT would have been a good April Fools joke. Play it completely straight, just render the next page in Rift modals.

I’m not sure I’d even have a simple enough way of exporting them, to be honest.

As for Rift itself, I’ve read some about it and talked about it with some friends who play it, and my opinion has pretty much remained a constant “..eh.”; it’s not that I think it’s bad so much as that I don’t care about it.

Who knew Stormwind guards could be such whiny babies? It’s not like they busted any tiles while they were up there.

Except the one that was loose and caused Te’len to slip, which ended with Hani catching her ere she hit the ground. *cough*

Is anyone suprised the guards are not much good in Stormwind? Watch the Horde go after the king and the low level toons give them more trouble.

They do look pretty in their armor. They spend most of their time raiding the inn at Goldshire trying to stop the fooling around there.

In the second to last panel on the right Hani could have really screwed with his mind by saying” You better NOT be staring at my boobs”!

Is it wrong of me to picture Hani and captain Cravenrest having a lot of hatesex later on in the story? XD

  13. October 6, 2011 at 01:14

Hani glaring at a gold seller would make a great wallpaper. Additional commentary from Rei would immortalize it.

  14. February 9, 2013 at 09:50

    Oh, poor Captain Cravenrest!
He’s a good man, Hani, just explain yourself.
