#271 – “What the Mind Sees”

This turned out to be one of those annoying pages to make – part because a whole lot of things that could go wrong also happily did. Not everything, thankfully, but modelviewer and I definitely had our differences regarding what models it was willing to provide. The newer ones seem unable to export anything but the initial pose, and my older legacy one somehow lost the ability to equip character models with my earlier harddrive failure. Very strange. Anyway.

This is actually only about half of the script for this page; I even did a page that had the full script first, but then concluded that since it’s very sparse on dialogue I needed to show the chain of events somewhat more clear to really make good sense of it. The bad thing about this is that the dream sequence that was supposed to end this page will run for the next one too, and that this particular portion of it will last two pages instead of just one. The good thing is that it should hopefully flow a whole lot better, and make a little more sense.

Well, this is an interesting development. I guess it’s a reflection of Hani’s fears?

When Hani’s arm went through the guy’s chest it reminded me of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom where the dude gets his heart ripped out.
    My second thought was Hadouken!
    Maybe I need a doctor.

For some reason, Hani’s arm going through the guy reminded me of the movie Road House, wont say more than that so I don’t spoil anything. Thought this page was really awesome. :)

Worgen and undead, led by a dude? In Kalimdore?
:x So, this is a “what could be” not a “what was”?

Any chance of Tyrande on her trusted steed MurderCat showing up in a sequence at some point? :D

I also think it is a could be instead of her remembering the past, because she didn’t know what a Worgen was before seeing them in Ashenvale.

Wow, I really love this page – great poses, interesting lighting, that matte black dream background thing which works brilliantly, all the action, the expressions… and sparse enough text that you can focus on it all. Wonderful.

Eh as far as I know an dream.
Nhani I think you should had spammed that blur effect for as you know dream is not that solid or better said you look at something say an house you see it you turn away see something else turn back and the house might be gone.

    Nightmares are AWESOME.
Loved this page Nhani, and it’s refreshing you used the old Worgen model for this one.

Temple of the Moon in Darnassus, what else? They heading directly for Tyrande which turns it more to a nightmare for her than anything else.
