#21 – “Kneel before Zoram”

Establishing something as being one way and then later going straight against it is either storytelling through hints or just being downright contradictive. While I’d hope for (and aim for) the former, Beyond the Tree is lighthearted enough that I should be get away with accidentally being the latter!

I generally have a rough plan with most things that’s been happening so far; while there certainly are some things that are just filler, there’s also plenty of conventions suggested now which likely won’t come into play until much later. We still have three more supporting cast members to discover for the first story arc which’s intended to last for quite some time yet. While it sometimes definitely (hah!) is compelling to just hurry on to advance the general plot, the other elements of Beyond the Tree are also important really.

Also, Te’len’s wrist is deformed: where a human rotating their hand around will twist the entire lower arm to do this, the skeleton I use only rotates the hand around the wrist and nothing else. While I’m sure there’s ways around this, they’re somewhere above my level of proficiency, so I’ll simply have to settle with trying to avoid it or making it less obvious when it happens. Which probably means I shouldn’t be mentioning the fact!

This is very nicely done comic. Will there be a Horde side view? :) Not that i’m a fan of any side, but it’d really make this more interesting! :D

I’m afraid any actual Horde pressence in Beyond the Tree is likely to be quite far off – I have ideas how to involve the Horde for a potential second major story arc but the first one won’t be done for some time yet. The Horde might show up in random, non-plot-related intermissions on pure funny, but until I reach arc any showing of Horde races aren’t likely to be affiliated with the Horde. (such as Twilight’s Hammer cultists, the Dragonmaw orcs and whatnot)

One downside with planning ahead is that things are pretty set on their current course until the plans run out ;)

Still it’s cool, i’d really like to have them wallpaper of slain horde (alliance) members via PvP with your great layout! =]

I wouldn’t have noticed the wrist issue, if you hadn’t mentioned it… in fact, I _still_ haven’t noticed it! ;)
